Getting Ready for The Next Season

The FC Bayern Global Academy is a unique opportunity for talented young soccer players to train for a full season at the FC Bayern Campus in Munich, the German giant’s state-of-the-art youth academy. Selected players will receive professional training under UEFA-Licensed FC Bayern youth coaches, following the philosophy of Germany’s most successful soccer club.

The 2023/24 season started on September 1, 2023 and runs through May 31, 2024
with a holiday break from December 20, 2023 to February 1, 2024.

Virtual tryouts are currently available for the 2024/25 season. The nationwide tryout and scouting schedule is available. Interested players should inquire if they can qualify by completing the APPLY NOW form. Player highlight videos are required.

As a player, Klaus won seven Bundesliga titles PLUS the FIFA World Cup in 1990. He is one of the most successful individuals in German soccer history and a Bayern Munich Hall of Famer.

The FC Bayern Munich Academy

The Allianz FC Bayern Academy building is at the heart of the youth performance center. In addition to the coaches’ and staff offices and a 10000 square foot athletics and rehabilitation area. Around it, a total of eight soccer fields are located on the 75-acre site. All the youth teams from the Under-9s to Under-19s, as well as the FC Bayern women’s and girls’ teams train and play here. There are several mini-soccer fields as well as beach soccer and beach volleyball courts on the site. And, at the back of the campus, there’s also a sports hall for basketball, handball, and table tennis.

The campus is also ideally equipped for athletics and rehabilitation training with a small fitness park complete with a fitness hill, among other features.

In the front of the campus, there’s a clubhouse with a bistro for visitors.

The International Soccer Academy association with FC Bayern München gives top players the rare opportunity to intensely develop their soccer skills. Integrated into the structure of FC Bayern’s youth academy, players will experience what a myriad of youth international players already have – the life of a professional with a rigorous training schedule, stimulating school curriculum, and challenging test matches against youth squads of top German clubs.

International Soccer Academy and FC Bayern Munich have collaborated on the methodology for the groundbreaking Integrated Academy. The methodology is that of the FC Bayern Campus and the U17-U19 teams

FC Bayern Global Academy FAQs

What are the dates of the FC Bayern Global Academy Program?

Program Start Date: September 1, 2024
Winter Break Check-Out: December 21, 2024
Spring Semester Check-In: January 31, 2025
Program End Date:  May 31, 2025

How many games will the team play?  

The FC Bayern Munich Global Academy U18 team will play weekly matches against local, regional, and Bundesliga academy competition. 

Where are the players living in Munich?  

The players are living at FC Bayern’s International Youth House, a new, modern, and well-equipped serviced single-room dorm complex located in Munich.  

International Youth House in Munich offers a range of amenities and facilities including fully furnished apartments with kitchenettes, free Wi-Fi, and 24-hour on-site staff. Convenient for the players’ training sessions, this is an ideal location for the players’ residence and provides a comfortable home-away-from-home. 

Who will be supervising?  

The players will be supervised by a dedicated team that includes two team managers who will always be available to assist the team. Additionally, the on-site FC Bayern Global Academy staff and coaches will provide supervision and support to ensure the players have a safe and enjoyable experience during their training sessions and stay at the International Youth House.  

The FC Bayern Global Academy support staff for this youth soccer program is dedicated to ensuring the players’ physical well-being and performance optimization during their training sessions, matches, and stay in Munich. 

What is the nutrition plan for players at the FCB Global Academy players?  

The players will receive a healthy, sport-specific breakfast to energize them for the day’s training sessions. Lunch will be provided at the FC Bayern  Campus, where our youth teams also eat. For dinner, players will either receive sport-specific food boxes from the FC Bayern Campus or supervisors will order nutritional food from surrounding restaurants if the campus kitchen is closed.

Is there a curfew for players?  

Yes, there will be a curfew at 10 PM. However, there may be exceptions from time to time, depending on the circumstances and schedule. The safety and well-being of the players are our top priority, and any changes to the curfew will be communicated to the players in advance by the team managers or on-site staff. 

Does the head coach have a UEFA A license?  

Yes, the FC Bayern Global Academy head coach has a UEFA A license, and the assistant coach will have a minimum of a UEFA B license.  

The coaches are highly qualified and experienced in youth football training.  During the players’ time in Munich, the coaches will be fully focused on the team, providing expert guidance and instruction to help the players improve their skills and reach their full potential. 

Will the FC Bayern Global Academy players have a Physical Therapist?  

The support staff for the players will include a physiotherapist for games and access to the physiotherapists at the FC Bayern Campus for treatments.  

Will the FC Bayern Global Academy players have an Athletic Coach?  

Yes, the team will have an athletic coach who will work following the philosophy of the FC Bayern Youth Academy. 

Will the players wear the official FC Bayern Training gear?  

Yes, the players will receive the official FC Bayern Training Kits, including training apparel such as shirts, shorts, and socks, to wear during their training sessions. Additionally, they will play in the official FC Bayern  Jerseys during matches. The players will be provided with high-quality gear that represents the FC Bayern brand and ensures they are properly equipped for their training and matches. 

Will there be Team Building Activities?  

Yes, as part of the program, we aim to conduct one team-building activity per month. These activities may include hikes, trips to nearby cities, or other group bonding experiences. Team building activities are designed to foster camaraderie, teamwork, and a positive team culture among the players, promoting a cohesive and unified team dynamic throughout their training sessions and stay in Munich.

Confirmation of Participation

The player will receive an official confirmation of participation for the season 2024/25.

Complete Player Application and Submit Deposit

If a player is accepted, he will complete and sign the Player Agreement. A non-refundable deposit is required.
