A Proven Pathway for Talented North American Players

International Soccer Academy has successfully arranged more soccer trials in Europe for its players than any other development organization working with North American athletes.

Since launching in 2020, ISA has created 295+ European trials and helped 55 players sign professional contracts. Trials are at multiple realistic levels, not just with Bundesliga clubs but fit the level of the player. For example, in Germany, trials for player can be set up in a wide range of leagues from the Bundesliga to Regionalliga and Oberliga as well as lower leagues.

ISA specializes in identifying talented youth and college-age players and preparing them for opportunities within European football environments connected to Bundesliga and La Liga clubs.

Our player development programs combine elite coaching, professional training environments, and strong relationships with European clubs to create real opportunities for ambitious players.

For talented players who are ready to challenge themselves at the next level, ISA provides a pathway that connects development with opportunity.

How International Soccer Academy Creates Real Opportunities for Players

For ambitious soccer players, earning a trial with a European football club can be one of the most important steps in their development journey.

International Soccer Academy provides players with opportunities to train and compete in professional football environments where coaches and scouts can evaluate their potential.

Trials are arranged for highly talented players upon the recommendation of ISA coaches and program directors.

Our head coaches and technical staff are former professional players and experienced academy coaches who are trusted within the European football community. When they recommend a player for an opportunity, clubs know that the player has been developed within a serious professional training environment.

Since the launch of ISA programs, nearly 300 professional trials in Europe have been created for ISA players.

These opportunities are earned through performance, development, and the strong professional relationships ISA has built with clubs in the Bundesliga, La Liga, and other European leagues.

Unlike traditional trial events that bring players to a single showcase, ISA focuses on long-term development within professional football environments, helping players prepare for opportunities at the right moment in their progression.

How ISA Creates Professional Trial Opportunities

International Soccer Academy follows a structured process that connects player development with professional opportunities.

This process allows talented players to train, develop, and ultimately earn exposure to clubs seeking new talent.

Elite youth soccer players who are looking to take a Cap Year before college or collegiate players who wish to take a year off or try to play in Europe for a year after college should visit Why Take a Gap Year.

Step 1: Identifying Talented Soccer Players

ISA identifies talented players from North America who demonstrate the technical ability, tactical awareness, and dedication required to compete in European football environments.

Players are evaluated based on their playing history, performance level, highlight videos, coach recommendations, and overall potential to develop within professional training systems.

Step 2: Player Evaluation

Once a player is identified, ISA staff carefully review the player’s background, playing experience, match footage, and performance metrics.

Individual Zoom meetings with ISA staff allow the player and their family to discuss the program, ask questions, and ensure the development pathway is the right fit.

This evaluation ensures that players entering ISA programs have the potential to benefit from professional training environments and pursue opportunities at higher levels of the game.

Step 3: Development Within Professional Training Environments

Unlike organizations that focus only on short-term trial events, ISA places players in daily professional training environments where development occurs over time.

Players train within structured programs that emphasize:

• technical development
• tactical understanding
• competitive matches
• professional training habits

This development phase prepares players for the standards required by professional clubs.

Step 4: Professional Player Profiles

International Soccer Academy creates an individual player profile for each athlete participating in the Integrated Academy and Pro Pathway programs.

These profiles are published on the International Soccer Academy website and serve as a player’s digital football CV.

Each player profile includes:

• a professionally produced highlight video
• key player statistics and performance information
• professional action photography from training and matches

These profiles allow ISA staff to present players to coaches, technical directors, and scouting networks across Europe, helping clubs quickly evaluate a player’s strengths, playing style, and potential.

Step 5: Exposure to Professional Club Networks

Through ISA’s partnerships and relationships with professional clubs across Europe, players gain exposure to coaches, technical directors, and scouting networks.

Players are evaluated continuously throughout the year by ISA staff and visiting club scouts.

These relationships allow ISA to identify opportunities that match a player’s level, position, and playing style.

Step 6: Club Feedback and Interest

When a player demonstrates the level required to compete at higher levels, ISA communicates with clubs to explore potential trial opportunities.

Elite soccer players often discover that earning a trial requires more than technical ability.

Clubs evaluate players based on:

• football skills and tactical intelligence
• professionalism and work ethic
• coachability and attitude
• maturity and reliability
• body language and decision making

Players who combine technical quality with professionalism and discipline are far more likely to attract interest from clubs.

Step 7: Trial Organization

ISA staff work closely with clubs to coordinate the logistics of trial opportunities.

This includes:

• coordinating trial dates and training schedules
• communicating expectations with the player and family
• preparing players for the evaluation environment

ISA does not charge players for trials themselves. However, travel, accommodation, and related expenses are the responsibility of the player and family.

ISA ensures that players understand the professional standards expected during these opportunities.

Step 8: Professional Evaluation

During a trial, players train directly with professional clubs where coaches and technical directors evaluate their performance.

Clubs typically assess:

• technical ability
• tactical awareness
• speed of decision making
• mentality and work rate

These experiences provide valuable feedback and insight for players pursuing professional pathways.

Step 9: Mentorship and Next Steps

Following a trial, ISA staff provide guidance to help players navigate the next stage of their development.

Some players may receive additional opportunities with professional clubs, while others continue developing within ISA programs while pursuing collegiate or professional pathways.

ISA focuses on long-term development and sustainable progress, ensuring that players gain valuable experience regardless of the outcome of a specific trial.

A Proven Track Record of Opportunities

International Soccer Academy has built a strong reputation for helping players access authentic football environments in Europe.

Since the launch of ISA programs:

295+ professional trials created for ISA players
290+ elite players developed through ISA programs
55 professional contracts signed by ISA players

Many ISA players choose to return for a second year of development, continuing to improve within professional environments while pursuing additional opportunities.

Train With Professional Coaches Who Know the Pathway

ISA programs are led by coaches who have played and coached within professional football environments in Europe.

Their experience allows them to guide players through the development process while helping them understand the mentality, discipline, and tactical awareness required to succeed at higher levels.

This mentorship is especially valuable within the Pro Pathway Program in Berlin, where players train in an environment connected to the German football system.

Development First, Opportunity Second

ISA programs focus on building complete players.

Trials and opportunities are earned through performance and development rather than guaranteed through participation in a single event.

By prioritizing development within authentic football environments, ISA helps players prepare for the realities of professional football.

Trials for talented North American players may be arranged with clubs across multiple levels of the European football pyramid.

International Soccer Academy Development Pathways

Through partnerships with professional clubs in the Bundesliga and La Liga, ISA provides players with exposure to the standards and expectations of elite European football development.

ISA programs are designed for ambitious players who want to train at the highest level, challenge themselves, and pursue opportunities in the global game.
