Ioannis Grigorakis serves as the Physiotherapist and Team Director for the International Soccer Academy Pro Pathway program, where he plays a key role in supporting player health, recovery, and daily team operations in Berlin.
A licensed physiotherapist educated at the University of Thessaly Department of Physiotherapy, Ioannis combines clinical rehabilitation expertise with firsthand experience working with elite athletes in high-performance environments. His academic research focused on the effect of fatigue on proprioception, an important area of study in sports performance and injury prevention.
At International Soccer Academy, Ioannis is responsible for helping players maintain peak physical condition while navigating the demanding training schedules of professional development programs in Europe. His work includes injury prevention, recovery management, rehabilitation support, and coordination with coaching staff to ensure players can train and compete at their highest level.
Experience in Sports Rehabilitation and Athlete Care
Before joining International Soccer Academy, Ioannis worked with physiotherapy clinics in Chania, Greece, where he gained experience treating a wide range of musculoskeletal and neurological conditions.
His clinical experience includes rehabilitation and treatment for:
• anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries
• lumbar and cervical spine conditions
• shoulder and upper limb injuries
• epicondylitis and tendon injuries
• post-traumatic neurological conditions
• sports-related muscle and joint injuries
This diverse clinical background allows Ioannis to support ISA players with both injury prevention strategies and rehabilitation programs tailored to high-performance athletes.

Within the ISA Pro Pathway program, Ioannis works closely with coaches and staff to ensure players are physically prepared for the demands of European football training.
His responsibilities include:

For two consecutive seasons, Ioannis has received five-star performance reviews from ISA players, reflecting his dedication to supporting athletes both on and off the field.

Committed to ongoing professional development, Ioannis regularly participates in medical and sports science education programs. He has attended scientific conferences on rehabilitation and sports performance and recently began advanced training in acupuncture therapy, expanding his skillset in athlete recovery and injury treatment.
His additional certifications include Basic Life Support and First Aid training, ensuring he is prepared to respond to medical situations within high-performance sports environments.
Athletic Background
Ioannis brings a personal understanding of competitive athletics to his role. He previously competed in volleyball at the A2 level in Greece and played football through his youth years.
His experience as an athlete provides valuable insight into the physical and mental challenges players face during intense training programs.
